These are some articles I wrote for different medias, as my "real" job is journalist. My aim is to try and make people who think they know this music, because they've heard some songs on the radio, discover its amazing cultural and musical wealth. And fight against the usual clichés that come to people's minds as soon as they hear the words "reggae", rastafari" or "Jamaica".  Apart from the articles I wrote, I've been invited a couple times on the swiss national radio, to talk about reggae and rastafari. I could also present a workshop at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2009, called "Roots rock reggae : the revolutionnary sound of Jamaica". All these activities were motivated by the same wish : make the wider audience discover what reggae, and Jamaica's other musics, really are.
The first article, written for the Jamaica Institute's publication Jamaica Journal, is in english. It's more or less a sum up of the conference I had the pleasure to present at Mona Univerity in Kingston.  All the other ones are written in french.
